Our Values
First Presbyterian Church values meaningful worship, thought provoking education, and engaging mission. We are a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and are active in downtown Joplin and the world.
Our Beliefs
Along with Christians around the world, we affirm God created the heavens and the earth, redeemed the world through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, and sustains creation through the powerful work of the Holy Spirit. We hold the Bible to be the revealed Word of God as it bears witness to Jesus Christ and God’s mighty acts in the world. Jesus Christ is head of the church, and nothing can separate us from the love of God.
